In Girls B League Playoff Curling Tommy Doulas and Holy Cross are the top seeds having won the their respective pools each having identical records of 4 wins and only 1 defeat. They along with Centennial #2 at 3-2 and Bethlehem #2 at 3-1-1 will receive the first round byes and will await the winners of the 1/4 final round on December 8. The semi final follows on December 9 at the Granite Curling Club. In a single elimination format which shows no mercy, teams will have to be at their best on each day over a short time period. 4 victories in 10 days can deliver the city championship to the school. Both B league pools have been competitive and the championship is open for the taking by any team in the 12 team field
In Boys B League Playoff Curling Bethlehem and Holy Cross are the #1 seeds heading into the single elimination draw format. They receive the top seeds as a result of winning their respective pools during league play. Holy Cross enters the playoff round having gone undefeated in league play at 4-0-1. Bethlehem went 4-1 during league play and was tied with l'ecole de canadienne francoise and Aden Bowman with identical 4-1 records. A three way tie at the top of the standings in pool 1 is proof that playoff victories will not come easily in a 12 team field with stiff competition. Bethlehem and Holy Cross will receive the first round byes as will Tommy Douglas and l'ecole de canadienne franoise who finished second in their respective pools.
B League Curling is highly competitive and a treat to watch if you like entertainment where the outcome is not decided until the very end. Don't sit back..... check out the hack!
