City Champions have been crowned in all three of the Curling Divisions.
The SSSAD Curling season wrapped up on Tuesday with the boys and girls championship games. On the girls side, St. Joseph and Bishop Mahoney met for the third time in a week. In the rubber match, St. Joseph prevailed with an 8-5 victory.
On the boys side, the Centennial Chargers, led by skip Kealy Heintz, made a draw for two in the eight end to edge out the Holy Cross Crusaders in dramatic fashion. The Chargers claimed the city championship with a 7-6 victory.
In mixed action, the Tommy Douglas Tigers won their first ever curling city championship with a 9-2 victory over the Centennial Chargers on Monday night. The Tigers, led by skip Kayla Cormack, capped off their undefeated season in style, capturing both the A and B titles to take home the city trophy.
All six of these teams will represent Saskatoon at the SHSAA Regional Championships this coming weekend in Unity and Wilkie.
